Darcy Zotter is a U.S. Department of State career Foreign Service Officer who has held both political and public diplomacy focused jobs. She has worked as the Public Affairs Officer at U.S. Consulate General Lagos since early September 2016. Darcy has served at the U.S. Embassies in Jakarta and Beijing, as well as the U.S. Consulates in Guangzhou and Herat. In Washington, D.C. she worked in the Bureau of European Affairs and the Bureau of Human Resources. She is proficient in speaking and reading Mandarin Chinese, Indonesian, and Dari. Darcy has a BA in education from the University of Pittsburgh and a MA in educational leadership from Troy University. Prior to joining the U.S. Department of State she worked as a teacher in New Orleans, Louisiana; Isfahan, Iran; Seoul, Korea; and Surabaya, Indonesia. She taught elementary education, special education, high school math, and English as a Second Language. Darcy is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her two children live in the United States.
